With Lara Baumann Retreats are a way of totally unwinding and focusing on your personal development. This is when you make quantum leaps in your yoga practice, simply because you have time to fully explore and put into context that which you have learned, as well as sharing this ancient knowledge with like-minded others. This is an occasion for Lara to present the art of yoga in its full depth, incorporating not only physical, but also breathing exercises (pranayama), chanting, meditation, ethics and scriptural study, advice (based in the healing science of Ayurveda) on nutrition, natural medicine and massage. Time is allocated to enjoy the local activities, which include sightseeing, shopping, swimming and other sports. Locations are chosen for their natural beauty, great cuisine, friendly owners and the love and effort put into running their retreats in an ecologically sustainable way. 
Retreats are usually structured into a morning meditation and pranayama sitting, followed by a dynamic Asana session. In the afternoon we meet for Satsang (discussion of yoga philosophy and Q&A), followed by a set of more playful yoga exercises, closing the day's practice with another seated meditative form. Depending on the length of the retreat, during days off, optional group excursion will be organised.
