WELLNESS DIRECTOR
Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa is seeking an experienced and professional Wellness Director with a minimum of five years managerial experience in a wellness and spa destination preferably coupled with a strong hospitality background. The candidate must be an excellent communicator, able to guide and support guests and provide compassionate and “hands on” leadership for a large and diverse staff.
The role requires an ability to manage a large multicultural team including; wellness reservations and reception, doctors & nurse team, therapists, wellness practitioners, fitness staff, hosts and attendants. We are seeking an individual with a passion for the holistic wellness profession who is energetic, enthusiastic, with excellent organization and planning ability, a team player able to work in a multidisciplinary and International environment. The Wellness Director should posses a genuine interest in making a positive contribution to people’s lives, be flexible and receptive to new ideas and new environments yet practical and grounded in his/her approach to operating a profitable and successful business unit.
He/she must have excellent people skills, enjoy leading an international team of practitioners from diverse holistic medical traditions and cultures, and must enjoy learning from other traditions and sharing knowledge with others.
Requirements
An exceptional people manager and team player with a mature and stable personality, your key focus will be to lead, unify, train, motivate, and inspire your team to assure consistent service quality as well as revenue and profit growth.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical, together with a demonstrable background of implementing and running outstanding medical and guest service operations. With a background of running operations of spas and/or medical clinics, this role presents a unique opportunity for a serene and optimistic, confident, hardworking individual with the energy and the leadership skills to lead this outstanding wellness center and holistic spa.
Experience and Qualifications
- Over 5 years experience in the spa industry and at least 3 years experience as an operational department head OR management in a medium or large size clinic, medical spa or practice.
- Over 3 year’s recent management experience in Asia, preferably Thailand.
- Degree in management, health business management or other health related field.
NATUROPATH/HOLISTIC WELLNESS CONSULTANT
A thorough knowledge of naturopathic systems and modalities with a clinical experience of a minimum of three years along with a deeper knowledge of cellular detoxification, weight control and stress management preferred.
Knowledge of another language an advantage.
It is important that the person working in this role has the ability to work as part of a large team and can show cross cultural sensitivity in all dealings with colleagues and guests.
A self-motivated team player with a personable disposition and excellent people skills, including the ability to relate to people in a friendly, understanding and professional manner.
