Qi gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi), otherwise known as “intrinsic life energy”. The practice involves rhythmic breathing combined with slow and fluid movements, a calm mindful state, whilst visualising qi being guided through the body.
The benefits of Qi Gong:
• It has positive effects on the various systems of the body, for example, the cardiovascular, ...respiratory, digestive, endocrine, immune and central nervous systems
• It helps to create smoother-looking skin and restores youthfulness
• It promotes deeper, more restorative sleep patterns
• It improves posture and movement, reducing tension in the spine, hips, knees and neck.
• It creates a pleasant feeling of warmth deep within the body and helps to remove negative ...emotions
• Over time, Qi Gong practice can reduce or eliminate chronic pain
