Meditation depends on the strength of the oral teachings that support it. Meditation
then ultimately means relaxation, self-analysis, self-development, self-inspiration and
eventually self-liberation. Meditation is knowledge for oneself and about oneself. The
fi nal state is to attain non-meditation!
Winnie Rode has taught Buddhist philosophy and meditation for over 20 years. He
began his education as a meditation teacher over 25 years ago in a Tibetan monastery,
as a monk of the Mahayana tradition in India. He completed the traditional
study and all examinations. Today, he is a Buddhist Yogi and his teachings are mainly
based on the Dzogchen tradition. Winnie has many students and teaches primarily in
Germany, India and Thailand. He is also the author of three books about traditional
Tibetan Medicine and the land and culture of Tibet and Bhutan, a musician and a
sound therapist with Tibetan singing bowls.
