Feldenkrais Method with Mandy Kealy
15th - 30th March 2016
The Feldenkrais Method is a gentle movement therapy that can help anyone who wants to reconnect with their natural abilities to move, think and feel well.
Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, performing a favourite pastime, recover more swiftly from an injury, or simply improve your posture and alignment, these gentle lessons can improve your overall wellbeing.
Learning to move with less effort makes daily life easier. Working directly with the nervous system, these lessons train your brain to direct your body with greater intelligence. Long term habits of muscle tension that cause stiffness and immobility as we age, are quickly and effortlessly re-patterned, revealing enhanced physical performance, relief from injury and strain, and much more vitality for daily living. You will learn how to work smarter, not harder.
Lying comfortably on a low padded table, you will be guided with a gentle, non-invasive touch, how to move with a more efficient pattern of movement that relates to the function or limitation you wish to improve. Deeply relaxing and often profoundly life changing, these lessons will teach you to feel more, enjoy expanded creativity, and help you respond to life with more emotional balance.
