Kamalaya's Detox Pre-Arrival Recommendations

Thank you for choosing Kamalaya for your Essential Detox Retreat or Detox & Rejuvenation Program. In order to best prepare for your detoxification at Kamalaya and to enhance your experience by minimizing any detoxification symptoms, we recommend that you follow our suggestions below, beginning two weeks prior to arrival at Kamalaya.

Reduce and/or eliminate your intake of:

  1. Alcohol (beer, wine, liquor)
  2. Coffee
  3. Meat
  4. Refined carbohydrates (white breads, pasta, white rice, pastries)
  5. Sugar and artificial sweeteners
  6. Dairy
  7. Eggs
  8. Processed foods
  9. Hydrogenated oils (most vegetable oils)
  10. Fried foods

Please increase your consumption of:

  1. Fresh fruits
  2. Fresh vegetables
  3. Whole grains (oats, whole wheat, rye, barley)
  4. Legumes (lentils and beans)
  5. Olive oil
  6. Nuts and seeds
  7. Green tea, oolong tea
  8. Water

By following the above guidelines you will be preparing your body for the in-depth metabolic and cellular detoxification process which is the specialty of Kamalaya's Detox programs and retreats.
